Hello, I'm Griffin…
I'm an industrial designer based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a background in product design, 3D visualization, and motion. I work at Mertz Design Studio, where I develop hero products and packaging concepts for brand clients and produce photorealistic renderings for proof of concept and e-commerce.

About
I design products by starting with the people who use them. My Dremel project began in a sculptor's workshop, where watching him struggle to control a rotary tool shaped everything that followed: the grip, the toolless chuck, the docking station. I like projects where research, hands-on prototyping, and engineering all feed into the final form.
I'm strongest where design meets visualization. I build surface-accurate CAD models in SolidWorks, then bring them to life through KeyShot and Blender renders and animation, so a concept can be judged before anything is manufactured. I also keep making things by hand, with sketches, foam models, and 3D prints, because the quickest way to find a problem with a form is usually to hold it.
