Product Visualization and Exploration
I created this page as a place to post interesting projects and visuals that I create for fun or to explore new techniques within design and product visualization.
Unreal Engine Animation
I challenged myself to learn a new software called Unreal Engine 5 in hopes to create product animations and commercials. I found a course on Udemy to teach me the basics and this was the first attempt. Unreal Engine is a real time rendering engine, the benefit of that allows one to accurately gauge materials, lighting, and camera movement in real time!
For example I was able to render this entire thirty second animation at a 4K resolution in one minute and thirty seconds. For reference that would usually take about 25 hours in a traditional rendering engine such as KeyShot or Blender. This was my first attempt at rendering in Unreal Engine but I am excited to continue exploring and see what this software can do.
Knob Keyboard
This keyboard started as a modeling exercise I created in Blender for fun the goal was to challenge myself to create a visual project solely in Blender. The design was inspired by the Knob keyboard having the small digital screen and tactile switches on the side. I recreated the model and played around with the design and colorways.
Snake Ring
I created this ring initially for fun and to practice modeling more organic shapes in Blender but the project slowly evolved into something more. I began 3D printing mockups and testing the size and fit of the ring and eventually got the model sent out and professionally casted into a solid silver ring.
Combat Data Pad
This was a project I created in my early days at university. I designed this arm band for combat soldiers to wear to help keep them aware of their surroundings. In this animation I depict a more futuristic looking product with a 3D hologram that pops up showing a three dimensional map of the surroundings.
